LIMPOPO WITNESSES A SIGNIFICANT DROP IN NUMBER OF CONFISCATED ILLEGAL GAMBLING MACHINES

Limpopo Economic Development, Environment and Tourism together with Limpopo Gambling Board celebrates a milestone achievement in a battle against illegal gambling activities. The raids and interventions conducted against illegal gambling facilities have resulted in a significant drop in the number of illegal gambling machines confiscated.
Although both the Department and Limpopo Gambling Board are confident that the positive drop in illegal gambling activities witnessed during 2020/21 financial period is due to intensified interventions, raids conducted as well as consistent awareness campaigns hosted against illegal gambling, it will be ingenuous not to applaud the self-correcting characteristics brought upon by various levels of lockdown within our national state of disaster.
The Limpopo Gambling Board (LGB), LEDET and the Gambling Industry (Casinos, Bingos, Bookmakers, and Route Operators) will crush confiscated illegal gambling machines in celebration of both the drop in numbers of machines confiscated as well as observation of November as Responsible Gambling Month.
